However, the new device developed at the University of Sao Paulo is very unique, can be used as non-resonant acoustic levitation device. Precise distance between the two components is no longer necessary condition, even by changing the direction of the mirror, the object may be hovering in the air movement.



  It is reported that the new device is currently only suspended over 3mm polystyrene balls, the researchers hope that it will be able suspended for more items, such as hazardous materials and medicines. The project leader Marco Aurélio Brizzotti Andrade said the new device can be used in the manufacturing field, replacing strange robots.
