Oxford University has incredible batteries "guard" 175 years

Previously, has reported a continued work of the United States 113 years Livermore fire station within incandescent, and today we want to introduce the Clarendon Laboratory, Oxford University, a battery, it has been working continuously for at least 175 years .
1840, Oxford professor of physics Robert Walker bought this battery for powering electronic bell Oxford.
It is reported that this magical battery is known as Clarendon dry stack, is an early battery by Giuseppe Zamboni invention in one.

Oxford electronic clock has been swinging the one billion times, once every swing, you only need a nanoampere consume battery power (1 nanoampere = one billionth of one ampere).

Researchers had hoped to open the electronic clock to study the composition of this battery, but they are also worried that doing so would undermine the battery work environment, after all, the battery can work long trial continues. We also want to know that this staggering figure will eventually freeze where.
