news earlier today, Linux founder Linus Torvalds in the  Kernel submitted a modification of GitHub Master, the Kernel official from three age into four age. Officially entered the era of the Linux kernel 4.0.

Linux 4.0 includes the following features:

Linux 4.0 release lets users do not need to restart the operating system. In most of the server or data center, like the one of the reasons is that you do not need to use Linux frequent restart operations. Indeed, some key patches must restart, but you can wait a few months before making this operation. Now, thanks to the Linux 4.0 kernel release you may be a few years do not have to restart.

Linux release refers is commonly referred to as "Linux operating system", which is normally provided by a number of organizations, groups, companies or individuals produced and released. The main part of the Linux kernel Linux distribution and use. Generally, a Linux distribution includes the Linux kernel, as well as the entire set of software installed on your computer to install the tool, as well as a variety of GNU software, and some other free software, and in some Linux distributions may contain some proprietary software. Release for many different purposes production, including support for different computer hardware structures for ordinary users or developers to use to adjust the way, developing applications for real-time or embedded systems and so on. Currently, more than three hundred release is a positive development and release of the most commonly used are about twelve. There are more well-known Fedora, Debian, Ubuntu and Mageia and so on. Linux distributions are often used as a super computer's operating system, before the announcement of November 2010 500 supercomputers, there are 459 (91.8%) run Linux distributions.

1991 of October 5, Linus Torvalds posted a message on the comp.os.minix newsgroup, announced the birth of the Linux kernel outwards, in March 1994, Linux1.0 release, the amount of 170,000 lines of code.
